What is Liquidity Pool?

Crowdsourced pools of cryptocurrencies locked in a smart contract that facilitate trading on decentralized exchanges (DEXs). Instead of traditional order books, users trade against these pools of liquidity. Liquidity providers (LPs) earn a share of the transaction fees generated by the trades occurring within the pool.
