What is Impermanent Loss?

A temporary decrease in the value of assets held in a liquidity pool compared to simply holding them in a private wallet. It occurs when the price ratio of the deposited token pair changes significantly; the larger the price divergence, the greater the exposure, though the loss only becomes "permanent" once the liquidity is withdrawn.
