What is Hash?

A unique, fixed-length digital fingerprint generated by passing data of any size through a mathematical algorithm (such as SHA-256). Cryptographic hash functions are one-way functions, meaning it is mathematically impossible to reverse the hash back to the original input. Even a tiny change in the original data will result in a completely different hash output.
