Validator

Nodes in a Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain responsible for verifying transactions and adding new blocks to the chain. To become a validator, participants must lock up a specific amount of the network's native token (staking) as collateral. Validators are rewarded for maintaining network security and honesty, but they can face penalties (slashing) for being offline or validating fraudulent transactions.
